- I am an English born Emeritus Professor, Photographer, and was also Director of the Aalto University Media Factory 2010-2014. I retired from Aalto Uni in early 2022. During my career I was a New Media researcher, as well as an unashamed gadget nut based in Helsinki, Finland. I was founder, director and 'Dean' (till August 2008) of the Media Lab, at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. I spent the first 5 months of 2009 living in New Zealand, working as visiting scholar at Victoria University, Wellington.
